I have been a regular client of since early 2007. I have found Jay to be an excellent personal trainer. Before meeting him although I was a regular Gym user, my work outs were not as effective as they are now. I previously thought I did not need to have a trainer but now I realise how wrong I was. He has developed a training programme for me that I can use, on my own, as well as selecting exercises in our sessions together that are constantly changing as well as being challenging. I can really see, and feel, the improvements in my physic. 
I have also found his regular sessions are fantastic at dealing with any aches and pains. For example he has adapted his exercises to develop the relevant muscles to improve my body and has managed to get rid of my previous knee problem and aching back.
In his training sessions he works you very hard but he always attentive to ensure that you are not overdoing it and that the exercises are appropriate.
He is also a charming guy too - what more can you want of a personal trainer? I could not recommend him more highly.

I first started training with Jay at the end of my maternity leave, at a time when I was feeling very low and unfit.  Jay is a great motivator and gets the balance right in terms of pushing you to achieve your goals. I was very impressed with the results.  Within a short period of time my fitness improved dramatically and I felt far more positive. Jay is highly professional and at the same time manages to make the sessions fun. He also seems to have sorted out problems I was having with my back.  I have got far more out of my sessions with Jay than I ever did when I was a member of a gym and would thoroughly recommend him!.

One of the key motivators I had for exercising with a personal trainer was to obtain the flat stomach I had (and didn’t fully appreciate) before the arrival of my baby.   However, even though Jay was recommended to me by a friend I never thought I would stick to it, not least because I didn’t think I would enjoy it.   While it was tough at the beginning I soon began to see the benefits and now I am back down to my pre-pregnancy weight and very pleasingly have a flat stomach again.   As I have the training sessions at my home, I don’t have to arrange childcare (Jay is extremely good with Saffy who likes to take part in the training sessions too!) so there is no excuse!   I would thoroughly recommend Jay.

Jay tailored several sets of exercises to increase the strength of my core muscles, the sets vary each session. I started training with Jay in February 2007 after the birth of my child. By Christmas, I had dropped 2 dress sizes and could get into a little black dress that I was unable to before I was pregnant! I have regained confidence in my figure and thank Jay for helping me achieve my goal. Being a mother, it is difficult to find time to train, therefore training out with Jay at home is ideal. I have been training with Jay for only 4 months but already feel a tremendous improvement in my fitness. Although I enjoy exercise it is sometimes hard to find time to do it, its hard to then stick to it and oh so easy to put it off. However my personal trainer, Jay, has put an end to that! I am not a particularly natural 'morning person', yet choosing to train in the morning, he manages to motivate me, make me smile and generally enjoy the session. Jay has got the exact mindset to make personal training work. He knows when to push, he knows when to ease off a bit and incorporates a fantastic mix of exercises to prevent me becoming complacent. I find him both encouraging and supportive because come on face it, there are some days when running round a park in the cold is that last thing you feel like doing! It must be all paying off because I managed to climb Ben Nevis for charity in September and I would not have been able to do that before.

I'm so glad I've done the training sessions and am really delighted with the results. Since starting personal training with Jay after the birth of my second child, I've managed to lose over two stone in weight, dropped around three dress sizes and feel much more fit and healthy. I would highly recommend Jay as a trainer. He is very reliable and easy to get along with. Even though he pushes you hard, I've still managed to really enjoy at least most of the sessions!

I’ve been training with Jay since March 2007.   Previously I had been paying gym membership for years but like most people not actually using it.   I’m not a natural gym enthusiast but meeting Jay has changed that.  I firmly believe that my monthly subscription with him has been the best investment of my life – quite literally!   I now feel so much healthier, previous aches and pains are no more, I can run for the train in the morning and catch it without gasping for air. Best of all I’ve dropped 2 dress sizes.

What I like about Jay is his compassion, professionalism and above all his motivation.   He recognises that I’m human, I like my Friday nights out, the odd pizza but he is not judgemental.   I understand that I am not Jay’s only client but he ensures that my time with him is my time.   He gives me his complete focus and fits a training regime around my capabilities.   Saying that he’s no push over, he’ll up the anti when he thinks it’s necessary.  My training sessions are challenging but I always leave feeling good.

I have been training with Jay for about a year now and I am overjoyed with the level of fitness I have been able to achieve.  Jay is very friendly, thorough and professional.  No two sessions are the same and you get a full body workout (usually discovering muscles you never knew you had).  I have a slight problem with my right knee, which previous trainers have sometimes ignored, but Jay is very mindful of this during each session and checks that my knee alignment is correct. Because of this, I hardly experience problems anymore. Jay also provides nutritional advice if asked, which has been very helpful.  I certainly feel better about myself and, despite the current economic climate, have no intention of giving up these sessions.
